Upload or take a photo for a user

A photo on a user's profile lets staff confirm the person at the door is who they say they are, and it is used when you print ID badges. You can upload a photo from your computer in Brivo Access or take one with the Brivo Access mobile app.

Quick steps

  1. 1

    Open the user

In Brivo Access, go to Users > User Management on the left navigation bar and click the user's name. For a brand new user, click Create New User on the Users tab instead.

  2. 2

    Upload the photo

In the Profile Photo area, upload the image file from your computer. Use a clear, well-lit, passport-style headshot.

  3. 3

    Save

Click Save Changes for an existing user, or Create User if you are adding someone new.

  4. 4

Or take the photo with your phone

In the Brivo Access mobile app, tap Users in the bottom bar and open the user (or tap Create New User (+)). Tap the Plus (+) icon on the round avatar at the top, then choose Take Photo to use the phone's camera or Select from Gallery for an existing headshot.

  5. 5

Check the photo is in use

The photo now appears with the user's door events, so staff can compare it to the person at the door. It is also available when printing badges from Users > User Management with Print Badge.

If the photo will not upload from the mobile app, check that the Brivo Access app has Camera and Photos permissions in the phone's privacy settings.

If you use Brivo Door Station face credentials, Brivo asks for high-resolution passport-style photos.
