WESLEY CHAPEL, FL (December 18, 2024) Thomas Giella, CEO and co-founder of Complete I.T. Corp, has earned a CPTED designation from the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute (FCPTI), part of the Florida Office of the Attorney General.
CPTED, short for Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, looks at how a property’s layout discourages crime: lighting, sightlines, entrances, landscaping, and who can get in where. It pairs naturally with the cameras, access control, and gates Complete I.T. installs, because the best camera placement and door hardware start with understanding how people move through a property.
What it means for clients
- Security recommendations that consider lighting, layout, and entry points, not just equipment
- Camera and access control plans built around how a property is actually used
- A designee on staff who has completed the state’s CPTED training
The designation runs through December 2027.
