Six years after starting out, our founder sat down with The Laker/Lutz News to talk about the company’s growth and why he believes in Pasco County.
From one person to three divisions
Thomas Giella started Gear Spinners as a one-man website design business for small and mid-sized companies. He leaned on Pasco Economic Development Council programs to learn the business side, and the paper noted he still used those lessons. By 2020 he was CEO of Complete I.T. Corp and planned to keep hiring. The paper also reported the company expected to outgrow its Wesley Chapel Boulevard office in Lutz.
- Complete I.T. Computer Repair and Network Solutions: computer repair plus design, repair, and replacement of business networks of all sizes for residential, commercial, and enterprise clients.
- Tampa Bay Installs: installs and services access control gates and security cameras for homeowner associations and community development districts, plus clubhouse speakers, WiFi, TVs, and cameras.
- Diverge Laser Systems: co-owned with Charlie Bourne, providing sales and support for Universal Laser Systems equipment to manufacturing, education, military, and government clients.
Growth beyond Pasco
The main market for computers and networks was Tampa Bay and Florida, and gate access work stretched from Brooksville to Riverview and from Kissimmee to the Gulf. Referrals between offices of the same client often brought new bids.
Thomas was upbeat about the county’s future. “Pasco is hot,” he told The Laker/Lutz News, adding that he hoped laser equipment could help bring manufacturing jobs to the area.
