Spring 2016 was a big season for us. We had a new office, a new computer repair division, and an award from the incubator that helped us get started.
Incubator member of the year
On May 12, 2016, Gear Spinners received the incubator member of the year award from SMARTstart, the business incubator program sponsored by the Pasco Economic Development Council. The company had recently moved out of the SMARTstart incubator space in Dade City and into its own office on Wesley Chapel Boulevard.
Ribbon cutting and open house
The Laker/Lutz News Business Digest announced the celebration:
- Ribbon cutting: May 31, 2016, at 4:30 p.m.
- Open house: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. the same evening, with finger foods and drinks.
- Promotions: special offers during the week of May 31.
New divisions
Gear Spinners, founded by Thomas Giella, was known for website design and other online services. The digest noted the company’s two divisions: Complete I.T. Computer Repair and Tampa Bay Installs (listed as Tampa Bay Home Theater Installs).
The computer repair side is where Complete I.T. began. Within a few years it became the main business and, eventually, the company name.
