A few weeks after our ribbon cutting, SMARTstart Pasco published a recap of the event and of how far the company had come since joining the incubator.
The celebration
On May 31, 2016, members of the Greater Dade City and Greater Wesley Chapel Chambers of Commerce gathered at the new Gear Spinners office in Lutz for a ribbon cutting and open house honoring Thomas Giella and the company.
How we got there
- September 2014: Thomas launched the business as a member of the SMARTstart Dade City Incubator, which provided office space, mentoring, and coaching.
- About a year later: he took part in the first session of CO.STARTERS, a SMARTstart course that helped him identify and evaluate new service lines.
- 2016: the move to a larger office made room for those new services, turning Gear Spinners into a well-rounded IT provider for east Pasco County.
Three lines of service
Alongside the affordable website design Gear Spinners had offered from the beginning, the company now ran two divisions: Complete I.T. for computer repair and network infrastructure, and Tampa Bay Installs for audio and video installation in homes and businesses.
Thomas planned to stay involved as an off-site SMARTstart member and hoped to expand into Land O’ Lakes and New Port Richey while growing in Dade City and Lutz.
We are still grateful to both chambers and to SMARTstart for helping us get off the ground.
